We offer personalised music therapy sessions to support communication, wellbeing, confidence, and personal goals. No musical experience is required. Music therapy is for everyone.
We welcome self-referrals and professional referrals, supporting children, adults, and older people in a range of settings.
Music therapy can support people of all ages and abilities. Tess specialises in working with children with Autism, Special Educational Needs (SEN), and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), as well as children and adults with learning disabilities, mental health challenges, and dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Sessions are tailored to each individual's needs, strengths, and goals.
Following an initial assessment, sessions are individually tailored and last up to 45 minutes. They can take place at home or in settings such as schools, residential services, care centres, and community settings.
Through singing, playing instruments, improvisation, songwriting, and listening to music, sessions support communication, emotional expression, relationships, and wellbeing.

We are so grateful for Tess and the impact she is had on our son and our whole family. Since beginning music therapy with her, we've seen meaningful growth in his engagement, communication, and turn-taking. Tess has a beautiful way of following his lead and finding creative ways to connect with him. He's been attempting more sounds lately and truly enjoys exploring all the instruments she introduces.
Tess is more than just a therapist—she is a constant source of encouragement and positivity. She genuinely believes in our son and celebrates every step forward with us. Her presence has brought light and hope into our journey, and we wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for a compassionate and skilled music therapist. She's been amazing!

I can not thank Tess enough for all she has done to help my autistic son blossom. My son is 27, non-verbal and has a learning disability. He took to her immediately and, by the smile on his face and cheeky winks, showed he bonded quickly with her and really enjoyed his sessions!
Tess is kind, caring and passionate about helping her students achieve their potential. I attended most of my son's Music Therapy sessions and was impressed at the way Tess intuitively knew what he needed, devising a tailor-made plan for him. I was amazed at how quickly he was playing instruments and expressing a good sense of rhythm - both leading and following the beat.
From day one, he showed a willingness to engage with Tess. Since starting Music Therapy last October, he has achieved so much and his focus and concentration have improved dramatically. Before working with Tess, he found it difficult to focus on a task for more than a couple of minutes. No-one who knew him well thought he would stay for the entire 45-minute sessions, yet he did!
I would have no hesitation in recommending Tess as a Music Therapist. She is second to none!
